A word from our director - Martin Howlin MBE
"UK Tactical Solutions Ltd was founded to support the growth of modern, high-quality tactical equipment through expert design, advanced manufacturing, and collaborative consultancy.
Our journey began in 2018 with the creation of Spectre Military Equipment Ltd, a small, service-led business producing a handful of innovative products for military personnel. Over time, these products gained strong traction in the tactical marketplace, driving the evolution of a wider product range built using state-of-the-art materials and manufacturing techniques—such as injection moulding, thermoplastics, and performance laminates.
After leaving military service in 2022, our founder, Martin, recognised a critical gap in the market: many skilled micro and medium-sized businesses had the expertise to create outstanding products but lacked access to the equipment, materials, or facilities to reach their full potential.
UK Tactical Solutions was created to solve that problem—offering a purpose-built space where businesses can develop, prototype, and manufacture tactical and law enforcement gear at scale. While Spectre continues to expand its own product range, UKTS is proud to help others do the same.
Today, we remain committed to supporting innovation across the tactical gear industry—working with soldiers, police forces, and security professionals to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that meet real-world operational demands.
